As part of this blog- Im going to try to explain my role as an architect and the projects I work on.
I recently completed a design competition featuring a residential project I collaborated with at Jerry Kler Architects.
It’s a good example of a finished project used as a marketing tool to try to showcase our work and get additional work.
The presentation double as a handout to potential clients at an introductory meeting.
Once the project was complete, we had it professionally photographed and then created a series of images telling the story of the building with before and after photos, sustainable design diagrams, plans and interior and exterior photos.
As architects we’re often challenged to come up with stories to explain and justify our work.
Often times, an image isn’t enough to convey the design intent and direction, so we create narratives to make it more believable.
