Project overview: This 1960 hotel & restaurant development in San Diego, Ca is given a new life with a complete site and building redesign. The hotel units are transformed into self contained micro units for affordable housing while the restaurant is turned into an administration building. The site & buildings were redesigned to accommodate the latest codes, ordinances and design review approvals while adding to urban stock of affordable housing. The design was done in collaboration with Basis Architects.
